“this isn’t scientific but it gets results” should be a contradiction because if you were confident through repeated experiment and observation that it got results then it would be scientific; maybe you can say “this isn’t scientific but I hope it gets results” or more likely “this isn’t scientific but it did get results that one time”, although even that is getting dangerously close to being scientific if you go ahead and repeat it.
Well you can do all the research you want but most people won’t call it science unless it’s published
So maybe “this isn’t peer reviewed but it gets results” would work for this purpose
ironically you could well publish something like “this hasn’t been independently replicated but it works for me” in a scientific journal
scientists do it all the time!
I think it’s usually more like “I don’t have an underlying theory of why it works, but repeated experiences says that it does.”
if you’re measuring it and writing it down then it’s at least halfway to science
Here is friendly reminder for all paisas to not waste your money on Abuelita chocolate, which is owned by Nestle. Instead, consider buying Ibarra or other Mexican or Latine owned chocolates and cocoa powders for making your champurrados and chocolates calientes
you need to listen to rap and hiphop you need to listen to jazz you need to listen to blues and country and bluegrass or else you will be inflicted with something most foul of the soul
and if you say you do and post a video game ost you will be hexed by an evil shaman
With American Thanksgiving coming up, I’d like to remind everyone reading this that it’s a day of mourning for the Wampanoag people. If you can, donate to help them preserve their culture, their language, and to fight for their legal rights and recognition.
If you live in the New England area, make a trip out to the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Museum. Hear the history of the First Thanksgiving from the people who were most affected by it. They go into detail of the events and cultural impacts of the first five years after the Mayflower’s landing.
